Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy explains how Delivery Driver UK handles personal information when you use our website.

Information we collect

We collect account and contact details, business and team information, job listings, and messages you send us. Business owners may provide your email to invite you to their team. Our login and hosting providers also process authentication details, IP addresses and security logs.

Drivers applying for approval provide their vehicle type, licence number, expiry date and licence photos. Photos may include your address, date of birth, signature and photograph. We keep application and review records, plus protected digital identifiers linked to your account to detect duplicate licences or images.

How we use it

We use information to provide accounts, jobs, team access and support under our service agreement. Driver screening, duplicate checks, security and dispute handling rely on our legitimate interests in protecting users and preventing misuse. We also use information to meet legal duties, including handling privacy requests.

You can browse public job summaries without providing a licence. Driver approval is required to see business contacts. Applications are reviewed manually, with basic automated input, expiry and duplicate checks; this is not a live DVLA or right-to-work check.

Access and sharing

Public visitors see job summaries. Approved drivers see full business names, addresses, contacts and job notes. Business team members manage their shared jobs, and owners can see member names and emails.

Licence photos and full numbers are available only to the designated administrator, with an additional authenticator check. They are not shared with businesses or other drivers. We use encrypted licence storage, HTTPS and access controls.

We use providers for login, hosting, storage and email, and may disclose information where legally required or necessary for lawful security investigations or claims. We do not sell personal information. Providers may process data outside the UK under applicable adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards, including the UK Addendum where required. Contact us for provider details or copies of applicable safeguards.

When you contact a business by phone or WhatsApp, its own privacy practices and those of the communication provider apply. Shift arrangements and payments are between the business and driver.

How long we keep it

Full licence numbers are cleared after approval or rejection, and photos are queued for deletion. Unreviewed uploads become inaccessible after 14 days; hourly cleanup clears their numbers and queues photos for deletion. Failed deletions are retried and may take longer to complete.

We keep approval status, expiry dates and duplicate-check identifiers while needed for account access and preventing duplicate registration. Account, business and team records remain while maintained; pending invitations expire after 14 days. Jobs leave the public board when filled or started but remain in private business history.

Support, review and deletion records are kept while needed to resolve enquiries, security matters, disputes or legal duties. We remove information when no longer needed; provider logs and backups follow their own deletion cycles. Contact us about account closure or removal. Removing driver approval prevents access to business contacts until you are approved again.

Cookies and browser storage

We use essential login and security technologies and save your chosen alert areas and the time you last marked alerts as seen to your account. Website alerts show new matching shifts while you use the site. The application adds no advertising or optional analytics trackers. We will update this policy and obtain any required consent if that changes.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restricted use or a portable copy of your information. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Right to object: you can object to uses based on legitimate interests, including driver screening and duplicate checks. We will consider your circumstances and explain any overriding grounds for continuing.

Contact us using the email below to exercise your rights or request account closure. We may need to confirm your identity. Requests are normally free and answered within one month, subject to applicable rules and extensions. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

We will update this policy if our handling of information changes.
